To setup the software, load the software and then:

Left click on “File” on the menu bar

Left click on “Preferences”

Use the following diagrams to setup the parameters:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you have the software working and generate contacts, at some point you will wish to print qsl labels.  The following two screens show my setup - yours may vary.
 

 



To interface DX4Win with WinPSK for PSK operation:

Set Elecraft K3 radio to:

          Mode                                                   TX Data
          Data Mode                                           PSK D

         
Power                                                  50 watts
          Vox                                                     Off

Click on “Window” in the menu bar

Click on “PSK31” or on “ALT + 3”

Right click a blank area to the right of “Start”

Left click on “Settings”

Left click on “RX”

          Set RX Frequency to                            901 
          Click to insert checkmark in the “AFC” box
          Set AFC Range to                                 100

Left click on “TX”

          Set TX Frequency to                            901
          Click to insert checkmark in the “Net” box
          Set “PTT” to                                        COM7
          Set “Key Line” to                                  RTS

Left click on “Display”

          Set “Smoothing” to                               4
          Set “Baseline” to                                  30
          Click to insert checkmark in the “Slow IMD Meter” box
          Set “Alternate colors” to whatever you wish or leave blank

Left click on “Other”

          Set “Mode” to your choice                   BPSK  most likely
          Set “Central Frequency” to                   1500

Right click on blank area to the right of “Start”

Left click on “Edit function keys”

          Set function keys as desired

To interface DX4Win with MMTTY for RTTY operation:

Set Elecraft K3 radio to: 

          Mode                    TX Data
          Data Mode            AFSK A

          Power                   50 watts
          Vox                      Off


Click on “Window” in the menu bar

Click on “MMTTY”

Right click on blank area to the right of “Start”

Left click on “Keying Setup”

          Set COM Port to          COM
          Set “Key Line” to          RTS

Click on “X” in upper right of “MMTTY keying setup” window

Right click on blank area to the right of “Start”

Left click on “Edit function keys”

Set function keys as desired:
