3.     Click on “Config”

QSL Policy       a.     Click on “Configure Ports, Telnet Address, Other”
                    i.     Generally set one time and do not modify unless radio or computer is replaced

     Go to “Com6” line, click on "Set" and set as shown below:

     k.       Click on “Audio” menu tab and N1MM will find and setup your sound card:
 

 

 4.  Click on the "Config, Change Your Station Data" tab
      a.  Enter the appropriate information for your station
          i.  This data will be used in every contest until modified

     Click on “Change Sub Bands”
       a.
      Leave with default settings

 6.
     Click on “Clear INI File settings”
       a.
      Do not clear all configuration settings

 7.
     Find all windows (move to within 800 x 600)
      a.
      Do not check

 8.
     Check “Enter sends messages (ESM Mode)

 9.
     Auto Send Threshold

      Leave default value “0”

   Spot all S&P QSO’s
      a.
      Check to send all spots to Internet

   QSYing wipes the call & spots…

 a.
      Do not check unless multiple radios/computers

 a.
      Available only if operating in multi-user mode

24.  Edit Computer Station Names
 a.
      Accept default values
             
i.     Stn # (0-15) Stn Name               Computer IP Address
            0:  Radio                                    Ham

25.  Change Operator (CTRL & O)
 a.
      Insert current operator’s callsign

26.  SO2R

      Use only if this is the operating mode

27.  WAE

      Use only if this is the WAE contest
 

Before each contest, perform the following:

1.      Click on “Tools, Download Latest Check Partial File (Master.DTA)(Internet)”
a.
      Your Internet browser will open on the K5ZD website
              
i.     Left click on “master.dta”
            
ii.     The “File Download” window will open and prompt you to save the file
           
iii.     Left click on “Save”
            
iv.     Place the “master.dta” file in your N1MM folder
              
v.     If you are asked to replace an existing copy, click on “Yes”
            
vi.     The file will download into your N1MM folder
          
vii.     Close your Internet browser

2.     Click on “Tools, Download latest country file (wl_cty.dat)(Internet)”
a.
      Your Internet browser will open
           
i.     Left click on N1MM
          1.
      Left click on “wl_cty.dat”
          2.
     A window menu will open
          3.
     Left click on “Save Target As…”
          4.
    Save the file in your N1MM folder
          5.
     If you are asked to replace an existing copy, click on “Yes”
          6.
  Close your Internet Browser

3.     Click on “Tools, Import Country list from downloaded file”
a.
      The country list file “wl_cty” will be highlighted
b.
     Left Click on “Open”

4.     Click on “File”
a.
      Click on “New Log in Database…”
b.
     A window will open that will help you setup a specific contest
c.
      Click on “Log Type”
             
i.     Use the down arrow to the right of “Log Type”
           
ii.     Select the specific contest such as:  ARRL10M
         
iii.     Click on the specific contest name to select it
          
iv.     Enter the “Start Date”
            
v.     Click on and complete the “Contest”font>
          
vi.     Click on “Associated Files” tab
        
vii.     Complete the filenames as needed
      
viii.     Click on “OK” to begin the contest operation|
         
ix.     If using SSB, the program will setup automatically and be ready for use. 
d.     If not using SSB, go to either “If using RTTY” or “If using PSK31” shown later in this
     document

5.     If using RTTY,
a.      Click on “Window, Digital Interface, Interface”
              
i.     Select MMTTY/Other
            
ii.     Configure the macro buttons as desired
          
iii.     Remember set Elecraft K3 to Data Mode “AFSK A”

6.     If using PSK31,
a.      Click on “Window, Digital Interface, Interface”
              
i.     Select MMVARI
            
ii.     Configure the macro buttons as desired
           
iii.     Remember set Elecraft K3 to Data Mode “PSK D”

7.     Click on “Telnet Cluster”
a.      Select the node you wish to connect to
b.     You can click on “Edit” and set IP addresses, if necessary.
